Amazon listing outs upcoming TicWatch Pro 3
The new upcoming Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 3 has cropped up on an official Amazon UK listing, spotted by an eagle-eyedRedditorand shared byAndroid Police.
Originally the product was listed at £299.99 with the below imagery (thelinknow points to a £399.99 watch simply called ‘TicWatch’, but the Pro 3 product name is still in the URL).
The post said the new wearable would be released on 1 October. It is thought it will be one of the first Wear OS smartwatches to use either theSnapdragon 4100 or 4100+, Qualcomm’s new range of Wear OS-ready chipsets.
One of the main criticisms of Wear OS is that it produces many watches that use the current Qualcomm chip, and usually for too long. The 2100 series was used for over two years before the 3100 was introduced, so it’s a good sign that the 4100 series is here to offer better performance.
But even if there’s a boost there, we pretty much know what to expect from a new TicWatch, or indeed any Wear OS watch – the standard fare of notifications and fitness tracking, probably with a heart rate sensor and GPS, and with manufacturer-exclusive watch faces.
The picture of the watch and the software look remarkably similar to the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3, and the listing said the watch weighed in at 300g and had dimensions of 45.1 x 45.1 x 12.6 mm, which is very similar to that device.
