Disney Plus launches gift subscriptions in the UK

If you’re in need a big present this Christmas, Disney+ is now offering its 12-month subscription in the form of a digital gift card here in the UK.

Priced at £59.99 – the same price as a standard annual subscription – users can purchase a gift subscription over on theDisney+ websiteby inputting the recipient’s name and email address and choosing a specific date for the gift card to be delivered to their inbox. You can also add a personalised message along with the gift.

The gift subscription is digital only – not a physical gift card – so it’s a great choice to give someone if you’re not able to see them in person. It’s only available to new Disney Plus subscribers – so make sure your recipient isn’t already signed up before purchasing.

Disney+ gives you access to a wide range of content, including classic Disney, Marvel, The Simpsons and National Geographic. Most recently the service has started airing the second season of the live action Star Wars showThe Mandalorian, with episodes gradually rolling out over the coming weeks. Pixar’s latest filmSoulwill also land on the platform on Christmas day.

Disney Plus is available across a range of smart devices including laptops, phones, smart TVs and game consoles, and offers 4K content at no extra cost – plus you can watch shows and films with your chosen recipient through the newGroupWatch feature.
