Get a washing machine for less: the best deals from around the web
Let’s jump straight into the deals.
John Lewis is selling theSamsung WW90J5456FW ecobubble freestanding washing machinefor £369 when you apply the coupon code SAMSUNG30 at the checkout.
The ecobubble is A+++ rated for energy efficiency (the highest rating) and has a 9kg capacity. That means you should be able to get 45 t-shirts into a load, or a double duvet. We also think that this is an attractive machine, and that’s something we’d like to see more of. Washing machines tend to be functional-looking at best but if you’re shelling out several hundred pounds for something that will sit in your kitchen and you’ll see every day, why is it too much to expect it to look decent as well?
Not only do you save £30 on the price of a highly-rated machine but you can also get an additional three years on top of the standard two, giving you a five-year warranty when you register the machine with Samsung. It also comes with free delivery to the UK mainland. John Lewis is able to deliver as normal at the moment, although you should read our note at the bottom of the article on installation.
Also at John Lewis, you can get a really great deal on a whiteBosch WAN28201GB freestanding washing machinefor £379. That’s £70 or 18% off the normal price.
The Bosch is A+++ energy rated, has an 8kg capacity and 1,400rpm spin speed.

Currys PC World has knocked a very generous £90 off theHotpoint NSWR 963C GK UK washing machine, which you can now pick up for £279. It has a 9kg capacity and a top spin speed of 1,600 rpm. Again, this is a nice-looking machine. We really like the graphite colour.

AO.com is offering £30 off a range of washer dryers if you enter the code DRY30 at the checkout. This offer will end on 6th May.
There’s a good deal on another graphiteHotpoint NSWM843CGG washing machine, which you can now pick up for £249. It’s a little bit smaller than the one mentioned above, hence the price. It will take 8kg of washing (that’s about 40 t-shirts) and is A+++ rated.
Appliances Direct has also got some good offers on. Here’s one of the best. Get £198 offthe AEGL6FBI741N 6000 Series washing machine. It’s currently only £309. That’s a £39% discount. Other retailers are also selling it with a significant markdown from the RRP but the Appliances Direct deal is the best at the moment.
You can see all ofAppliances Direct’s deals on washers and dryers here.
If you’re ready to buy, we’d offer a word of caution about delivery. Most companies, including AO.com and John Lewis, can only deliver to your doorstep. All installation services have been suspended, so check what each company can offer. Bear in mind that if you want to start using your new machine right away, you’ll need to get it through your house and install it yourself.
When is Black Friday 2020 – should you wait for a better deal?
Black Fridaywill take place on Friday 27 November, immediately followed by Cyber Monday on 30 November. Traditionally the biggest sales event of the year, it may yet throw up some even greater tech deals – but with so much uncertainty around finance and retail, and no guarantees regarding what discounts we will see, we advise you not to wait: if you see a deal youlike, on a product youneed, and you canaffordthe outlay, buy it today.
