As well asnew wireless earbuds under its JBL brand, Harman Kardon has announced a new wireless speaker in the Citation 200.
It might have a slightly odd name, but the Citation 200 is an interesting and versatile speaker – partly thanks to its inclusion of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. This hybrid combination means you can use it at home or on the go making it a rival to theSonos Move.
Over Wi-Fi, you can listen in HD quality via the 5in mid-range driver which is accompanied by a 1in tweeter.
This is also asmart speakerwith support for the Google Assistant. The Citation 200 also features AirPlay and Chromecast. Buy multiple and you can have a multi-room audio setup.
You shouldn’t find it dying on you either thanks to an eight-hour battery life. If not charging on the cradle, the speaker has a USB-C port.
As you would expect from a speaker designed to be moved around a lot, the Citation 200 has a handle at the top. It also benefits from a premium blended wool fabric by Kvadrat with a special coating for easy cleaning and an IPX4 splashproof rating.
The Citation 200 will beavailable from October in Winter Gray and Classic Black priced at £299, which is £100 cheaper than the Sonos Move.
