How to cancel Apple Music

Since its launch in 2015, Apple Music has grown steadily to the point where it is now the second most popular music streaming service in the world, with only Spotify ahead. If you’re already a subscriber, then you’ll know about the huge range of songs and artists that are available on the platform, but also that it’s primarily for those who own Apple products.

Now, if you’ve already looked, you’ll have struggled to find anywhere that allows you to manage your subscription: Apple doesn’t want to make it easy to cancel. But we show you how to do this on a range of different devices.

How to cancel Apple Music on iPhone or iPad

To end your subscription to Apple Music on your iOS or iPadOS device, open theSettingsapp then tap on your account name at the top of the page. On the next screen you’ll see an option forSubscriptions. Tap this then selectApple Musicfrom the list and tapCancel Subscription.

If you don’t see an option for Subscriptions tapiTunes & App Storeinstead, then select yourApple IDand tapView Apple IDscroll down until you findSubscriptions, select it, then tapApple MusicandCancel Subscription.

How to cancel Apple Music on Android

Open the Apple Music app on your Android device, then tap on the three dots in the top right corner and selectAccount. In here, under theSubscriptionheading you should see the option toManage Membership. Tap this and cancel your subscription.

How to cancel Apple Music on Windows

You can cancel your Apple Music subscription from your PC as long as you have iTunes installed. To do so, open iTunes and go to the menu bar at the top of the screen and selectAccount > View My Accountthen scroll down to the bottom of the page until you find the section markedSettings.

Next to theSubscriptionsheading you’ll see the option toManage. Click this, then choose theEditoption next to Apple Music and finally clickCancel Subscription.

It’s possible that you won’t find Apple Music in your list of subscriptions in iTunes. In this case, you’ll need to use an iPhone or iPad to cancel.

Cancelling Apple Music on a Mac

On a Mac you’ll need to open the App Store app, then click on your name in the bottom left corner of the screen. At the top on the main panel, clickView Informationthen scroll down until you find the section markedManage. In here you’ll seeSubscriptionswith the option toManagethem. Click the latter then findApple Music, clickEditand thenCancel Subscription.
