How to Watch HoloLens 2 Launch Live Stream: Microsoft at MWC 2019

Along with plenty of other big names in tech, Microsoft will take to the stage at MWC 2019 today. You can watch a live stream of the press conference in which the HoloLens 2 is expected to be announced. Here are all the details.

Microsoft doesn’t always broadcast its conferences which is a shame, but it will let you watch its conference in Barcelona.

When is Microsoft’s MWC press conference?

The event is onSunday 24 Februaryand will start at18:00 CET, so that’s 5pm in the UK or 12am ET if you’re in the US.

Where can I watch the HoloLens 2 live stream?

Thankfully, Microsoft has provided a livestream for fans to watch the action unfold from home. We’ve embedded it below, so head back here at 5pm GMT for the latest Microsoft news.

What will Microsoft announce at MWC 2019?

It seems almost certain that Microsoft will be announcing a newHoloLensheadset at MWC in Barcelona. The creator, Alex Kipman, posted a teaser video (below) with the words “Are you excited yet? I am!”

Letters flash up at the end spelling ‘Barcelona’ followed by the date of the conference.

The video doesn’t give much away apart from hinting at a new processor and a carbon fiber construction. It’s thought that the HoloLens 2 will run on aQualcomm Snapdragon 850chip and will offer a higher resolution display as well as a wider field of view.

As you may know, Microsoft makes its own range of Windows 10 Surface devices so we could also see something new there. The line was updated not too long ago with devices like theSurface GoandSurface Laptop 2so it’s less likely than the HoloLens.
