JBL Live Free and Reflect wireless earbuds add ANC & IPX7

IFA 2020 has kicked off, albeit in a mostly virtual sense but JBL has a range of newwireless earbudsnonetheless and they feature active noise cancelling and IPX7 waterproofing.

Following on fromPhilips’ updated range yesterday, it seems having activenoise cancelling(ANC) is important for new headphones. Both the Live Free NC+ and Reflect Mini TWC feature the technology which also has a Smart Ambient mode so you can be aware of your surroundings when needed.

For the flagship Live Free NC+ true wireless earbuds, you can flip the case open to pair with your phone thanks to Dual Connect + Sync technology. Said case can also be charged wirelessly thanks to Qi support. Other features include touch controls, support for Alexa or Google Assistant and 21-hour total battery life.

They will arrive in October priced at £139 fromJBL.

For £10 less, also launching in October, the Reflect Mini TWC drop wireless charging on the case and there’s no mention of touch controls.

However, their compact and ergonomic design means they are pitched as a better choice for use during workouts and other sporty activities.

For something morebudget-friendlyJBL has updated the popular Tune 220TWS. The Tune 225TWS will arrive in September for £89.

They might not have ANC but feature 25 hours of total battery life, large 12mm drivers and now come in a choice of six different colours. JBL says they are “built for life on the go.”
