More Huawei P40 series renders and specs leak ahead of 26 March launch
More details have leaked about the Huawei P40 and P40 Pro ahead of their online-onlylaunch on 26 March, following the cancellation of the Paris launch event.
LeakerIshan Argawaltweeted the below pictures and alleged specs of Huawei’s next top tier flagship smartphones, highlighting the P40 Pro’s apparent 50x zoom:

Both models of the P40 appear to be 5G compatible and both pack triple cameras with different specs. The P40 Pro adds a time of flight sensor, larger screen and larger battery while the smaller has a flat display rather than the Pro’s curved, bezel-less appearance.
Both phones seem to have dual front facing camera cut outs in the top left of the display. They’ll be Huawei’s first P series phones without Google apps and services as the company remains on a US entity list and is barred from doing business with American companies including Google.
Argawal also says there will be a third P40 Pro Plus 5G with five rear camera sensors. There are too many phones, aren’t there?

Fellow leaker Evan Blass hadpreviously revealed the full design and coloursof the P40 phones.
Huawei also isreportedly expecting a year on year lossfor the first time ever for its mobile division owing to the US trade ban. While sales should not be affected too much in China where hardly anyone uses Google services, an expensive phone without them in Europe is not an easy sell, and sales have dropped sharply. Its Mate 30 Pro has only become recently available in the UK despite being launched back in September.
