Moto G20 arrives with 90Hz display
Just when you thought Motorola couldn’t possibly introduce any more new phones, the Moto G20 is official, offering a 90Hz display and Unisoc T700 processor for a budget price.
The firm, owned by Lenovo, has recently introduced theMoto G10, G30,G100and G50 so the onslaught of handsets isn’t letting up for 2021. The Moto G20 will start at 149 Euro and will begin shipping this week in Europe – we await UK and US details.
Sitting in the middle, the G20 is perhaps the goldilocks of the range getting you a balance of specs and features. Its headline feature is a 6.5-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate; this gets you a smoother experience compared to the traditional 60Hz.
The phone also comes with a 48Mp main camera along with an 8Mp ultrawide module and two 2Mp sensors for macro shots and depth data. At the front, you’ll find a 13Mp camera that sits in a waterdrop notch.
The Moto G20 is incredibly similar to its siblings although the G10 doesn’t have a 90Hz refresh rate and the G30 gets you a 64Mp main camera.
While the G10 and G30 are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processors, the G20 comes with a lesser-known Unisoc T700 chip; an octa-core processor with speeds up to 1.8GHz. The phone has 4GB RAM and 64GB storage which is expandable via a microSD card slot.
Like its stablemates, the Moto G20 has a 5000mAh battery and weighs 200g. It will be available in Breeze Blue and Flamingo Pink. It runs Android 11 with Moto’s My UX user interface.
It’s a decent enough set of specs for the price but Motorola has tough competition in thebudget marketthese days from the likes ofXiaomiandRealmeto name just two.
