NBC Peacock is ready to stream today in the US for free

NBC Peacock– NBCUniversal’s latest streaming platform – launches today to the general public in the USA. The new subscription service features a free tier with over 13,000 hours of TV shows and movies, and a premium tier with over 20,000 hours.

Peacock Premium is available for $4.99 per month for ad-supported content, and $9.99 per month for ad-free content. All tiers will feature films, series, news and live events from the likes of NBC, SYFY, MSNBC, CBS, FOX, Universal Pictures, DreamWorks, ViacomCBS, Paramount, Lionsgate, Warner Bros and more.

Peacock will also be airing a number ofexclusive originals, including the sci-fi dystopian show Brave New World, and the highly anticipated30 Rock reunion episodewhich will also act as an upfront showcase for the streaming platform, airing on Peacock on 17 July.

Peacock Free will allow users to catch up on new episodes of NBC current season series one week after they air, watch a select episodes of Peacock Originals and stream live sports such as four Premier League matches and select events from the upcoming Olympics.

The biggest TV titles on the free tier catalogue include NBC staples such as 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation and Saturday Night Live. There’s also popular movie series to check out, including The Bourne Series, The Matrix Trilogy and the classic Jurassic Park films.

If you opt for Peacock Premium, you’ll have next-day streaming on select current NBC shows. You’ll also have access to the full catalogue of Peacock Originals, classics series and films such as Two and a Half Men, Everybody Loves Raymond, Cheers, Shrek, Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Frankenstein and a wide range of sports content such as 175 exclusive Premier League matches for the 2020-2021 season and the Tour De France.

NBC Peacock is available to watch on Android, Android TV, Google Chromecast, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV 4K, Apple TV HD, Xbox One, PS4, Vizeo Smartcast, LG Smart TVs, and Comcast’s Xfinity Flek 4K and X1 plans. Roku and Amazon Fire devices will unfortunately not be supporting Peacock at this current time, but the companies are in talks to secure a deal in the future.

NBC Peacock is currently only exclusive to users in the US, but it will eventually be distributed to Sky customers in Europe.
