New Disney+ Star Wars series is being developed
If the newRogue OneandObi-Wan showsweren’t enough, Star Wars fans have yet another Disney Plus series to look forward to – a female-centric show to be specific.
According to Variety, both Disney and Lucasfilm have singled out Leslye Headland, co-creator of the Netflix comedy-drama Russian Doll, to take the lead on the series all centred around women.
Variety noted that the show will take place in “a different part of the Star Wars timeline than other projects”, which means that we’ll see something unexplored in the universe. We’re not sure how this willfit into the overall timeline, or if the characters will be related/connected to anyone we’ve seen before.
There’s also no word yet on any casting details or further people involved in the show – we imagine there will be more developments once thedelays due to the pandemic come to an end.
If you can’t wait for more Star Wars content, then check out all thefilms and shows from the franchise on Disney Plus, as well as all the information we have onseason 2 of The Mandalorian. If you’ve not yet got an account on Disney Plus, you cansign up on the websitefor £5.99/$6.99 per month.
