iPhone 8 Plus review

iPhone 8 Plus review Expert’s Rating Our Verdict The iPhone 8 Plus is a hard phone to recommend. Sure, it’s powerful, but so is every other flagship – and with a dated design and huge body, the 8 Plus is lagging behind. Throw in the fact that the wireless charging is slow, the fast wired charging costs you extra, and flagship camera feature Portrait Lighting just doesn’t work well enough yet, and the 8 Plus is a tough sell....

iPhone 8 review

iPhone 8 review Expert’s Rating Our Verdict There are some great things about the iPhone 8 including the addition of wireless charging, 64GB storage as standard and a fast A11 Bionic processor. However, this all comes at a higher price and everything else is largely the same so we can’t imagine or recommend iPhone 7 users upgrading. Those on an older device like an iPhone 6 or older will experience a much bigger change....

iPhone X review

iPhone X review Expert’s Rating Our Verdict The iPhone X comes with a number of quirks, but there’s nothing you can’t simply get used to and we’re sure Apple will bring fixes and improvements to iron things out. iPhone XS Max review

iPhone XS Max review Expert’s Rating Our Verdict In some ways the XS Max could be your perfect phone. It brings the option of a larger screen to those for whom 5.8in just isn’t enough and is the first iPhone to cater for those who need two SIMs. It also brings upgrades to photos (Smart HDR), videos (extended dynamic range) and audio (better stereo). However, it remains tricky to justify the high price (from £1,099), especially if 64GB isn’t enough storage for you....

iPhone XS review

iPhone XS review Expert’s Rating Our Verdict The iPhone XS is the sweet spot in the 2018 iPhone line-up. As with the X, you get a big, bright, 3D Touch-equipped OLED screen within a superbly portable chassis – it’s big but not too big – and a dual camera; you can now add a small speed bump, better future-proofing and a far smarter camera setup – we love being able to adjust the bokeh effect of Portrait Mode shots afterwards, and camera performance is demonstrably better under various types of difficult lighting....
