Sony Xperia XZ2 review

Sony Xperia XZ2 review Expert’s Rating Our Verdict We waited so long for Sony to bring a new design and although the firm has switched to an 18:9 screen, we’re miffed by the chunky and heavy design that has a fingerprint scanner and power button in awkward places. And dropped the headphone jack! The core specs of the Xperia XZ2 are perfectly good but that’s no longer a differentiator in the smartphone market....

Sphero Bolt review

Sphero Bolt review Expert’s Rating Our Verdict The Bolt is the most technically sophisticated Sphero yet. The LED matrix opens up a wealth of more expressive options, while the IR sensor – though in its early stages – has the potential to turn it into a sophisticated multiplayer option. The barrier, as ever, remains the price. It’s hard to say that £150/$150 is too much, but it’s certainly a lot. There’s certainly not enough toy here to justify the price tag, but for anyone committed to exploring the block-based coding in the Edu app, the Bolt offers a depth that no other Sphero – and few of the company’s rivals – can match....

Ticwatch E review

Ticwatch E review Expert’s Rating Our Verdict The Ticwatch E is a fairly basic Wear OS smartwatch, but including both a heart-rate monitor and GPS at such a low price makes this one of the most affordable smartwatches around that can also serve as a fitness tracker. Disappointing battery life and some patchy performance with an iPhone are our only real criticisms of the Ticwatch E, which otherwise offers a lot to like at its price....

Ticwatch Pro review

Ticwatch Pro review Expert’s Rating Our Verdict There’s ups and downs when it comes to the Ticwatch Pro. For starters, the design leaves a lot to be desired and the watch will be too heavy and chunky for some. However, we love the innovative dual-screen design so you can easily get information with the basic LCD panel and then use the OLED display like normal the rest of the time. This works better outdoors, saves battery and means you still have a functioning watch when the battery is too low....

Ticwatch Sport review

Ticwatch Sport review Expert’s Rating Our Verdict The Ticwatch Sport has a clean, simple look and feels good, robust and lightweight on the wrist, and the price is decent for a watch with GPS and IP67 water resistance (even if Mobvoi doesn’t recommend swimming!). However, we’re not huge fans of Wear OS in general and its usual interface issues are present here, such as the awkward method of changing faces. And we’re not entirely convinced by the accuracy of the tracking, despite the vaunted benefits of integrating GPS into the strap – which can’t be changed....
