Nothing launches black edition of Ear (1) earbuds Nothing has announced a new black version of its Ear (1) true wireless earbuds, the company’s first – and so far only – product, alongside confirming that the buds are now officially carbon neutral. The new black model keeps the transparent design of the original earbuds, but uses a smokier finish to the see-through plastic while replacing the originals’ glossy white sections with a matt black plastic....

Smeg’s Galileo Omnichef: a 3-in-1 oven that microwaves & steams Italian home appliance company Smeg launches its Galileo range of inbuilt ovens today. The rather grandly named range (“inspired by the father of modern science and uniting the very best of Italian design, innovation, and culinary art”) is a series of cookers built with a new cavity design for better heat distribution. The design should also minimise flavour transfer, so sweet and savoury dishes can bed cooke together, without making nightmare, prawn-flavour cake or chicken tiramisu....

Star Trek: Discovery release puts global viewers as an afterthought The internet was recently alight, discussing the streaming service Paramount Plus – but it was anything but good press. Star Trek: Discoveryhas been a staple entry on Netflix internationally since its debut in 2017 and fans expected season 4 to arrive on the platform at the tail end of this year, like clockwork. However, three days before the new season was set to launch, the official Star Trek Twitter account revealed that the show would be pulled from Netflix entirely and made exclusive to ViacomCBS’ own Paramount+ streaming platform....
