UK rules Huawei 5G equipment must be removed from networks by 2027 The UK government has ruled that all Huawei 5G equipment must be removed from the UK’s mobile networks by 2027. Mobile operators will also not be able to purchase 5G equipment from Huawei after 31 December this year. The UK’s Digital Secretary Oliver Dowden revealed these new details to the House of Commons on Tuesday evening. “This has not been an easy decision, but it is the right one for the UK telecoms networks, for our national security and our economy, both now and indeed in the long run,” Dowden said....
