Polaroid’s 4K 50in Smart TV with Alexa now just £269 from Asda

Polaroid isn’t only about cameras. The brand makes TV too, such as its 4K UHD Smart TV range which launched in 2018, full with Dolby Vision and HDR10.

Last year, Polaroid’s 50in option, already priced at a competitive £329, had an exclusive £70 discount from Asda which dropped the price to just £259 – the deal returns again for 2020, though now at £269. The TV will be available to buy in-store only starting 16 November.

Polaroid’s smart TV works with Amazon Alexa so you can control it with your voice using an Amazon Echo or Echo Dot device.

It’s a great deal for a 4K TV, especially if you’ve recently subscribed to streaming services under lockdown and want a large, high definition screen – but at an affordable price. Polaroid’s TV includes access to Netflix, Freeview Play, YouTube, and Amazon Prime directly (though you’ll need a subscription to access the content).

Other smart TVs with comparable features will cost you more than £300. For instance, the 55in JVC Smart 4K UHD Fire TV, which also works with Alexa,costs £399 even with a £100 deduction from Currys. Similarly, the50in Hisense Smart 4K UHD from Argos with Roku TV costs £349but doesn’t include support from a voice assistant (though Roku does supportDisney Plusstreaming).
