Realme X50 5G lands in the UK and Europe for £299/€349
The original Realme X50 – the company’s first-ever 5G phone – debuted as a China-exclusive back in January 2020 and now it’s landing in UK and Europe – sort of.
Theoriginal X50– which preceded the flagshipX50 Prothat launched in the UK and Europe back in May – relied on a the more modest (but still capable) Snapdragon 765G chipset, which can also be found in mid-tier devices like theLG Velvetand the upcomingOnePlus Nord. That’s exactly what the European version leverages too – although there is a subtle difference to its Chinese counterpart.
This new global model of the Realme X50 is, in fact, more closely linked to the X50m, which launched in China in April. Despite the name change, the European X50 and the Chinese X50m both sport a different camera setup to the Chinese X50; trading the original’s 64Mp main camera sensor for a more modest 48Mp unit, backed up by an 8Mp ultrawide, 2Mp macro and 2Mp depth sensor.
Beyond 5G, other traits that remain consistent across all three of these X50 models, including a 120Hz refresh-rate display and a 4200mAh battery with 30W fast Dart charging.
