Ring home security deals – and a free Dot

This is the top deal we’ve found: if youbuy the Ring Video Doorbell 2 from AO‘s website, where it’s reduced to £119, you’ll get a free Amazon Echo Dot. The Doorbell 2 is usually £179, so even without the Dot, this is the deepest discount, with £60 off. Use the code FREEDOT to get the Dot as well.

You can also get the Doorbell 2 at the discount price fromthe Ring site,AmazonorJohn Lewis. As Ring is an Amazon company, its products can be integrated with the Alexa, the Echo and Fire tablets and TV.

We reviewed it last yearand gave it four out of five stars, recommending it highly.

The outstanding improvement over the original Ring doorbell is the removable battery. The original Ring doorbell required you to unscrew the entire unit for recharging. The new version has a battery beneath the face plate that you can simply pop out, take indoors and recharge.

As well as this, the Doorbell 2 comes with all the features you’d hope for: 1080p HD video, improved night vision, two-way conversation and motion detection. It can also connect to existing doorbells.

The Ring Door View Cam is equally discounted, alsonow £119, down from £179 – that’s 30% off.Essentially, the Door View Cam acts as an upgrade to your peephole. It’s afifth generation Ring product, with features including motion detection, privacy zones and night vision, as well as two-way conversation, 1080p HD video, and a removable and rechargeable battery. The camera will also alert you to a knock at the door.

Unsurprisingly, parent companyAmazonis matching this deal.

There’s £50 off the Ring Video Doorbell Pro. It’s currently priced at £179, down from £229. This is another product that got afour-star ratingfrom us. We think it’s a significant upgrade from the Ring Doorbell and well worth the extra investment.

The Doorbell Pro is a slimmer design and can be wired to your existing doorbell. It features 1080p HD video, two-way audio and customisable motion sensors. It also comes with four different face plates.

You can get it from Ring itself but for the same price,Amazon is selling itin a bundle with the Chime, a wireless notification device that’ll connect to all of your Ring products and allow you to hear alerts when you’re away from your phone.

The Ring Alarm is also now discounted by £50. It’s on sale for £199, down from £249. This is another Ring product thatwe really rated. We called it “affordable, expandable, easy to install” and pointed out that one of its key advantages is that it’s not reliant on a paid subscription. Nor does it require professional installation.

It’s a five-piece kit that includes a base station, a keypad, a contact sensor, a motion sensor and a range extender. It functions either as an effective standalone alarm or it can be integrated with your other Ring products.

You can get it at the discounted price fromRingorAmazon.

There are also deals on various Ring Stick Up Cams. There’s £20 off theStick Up Cam Batteryand theStick Up Cam Plug-in, dropping the price from £89 to £69. There’s £30 off the newSolar Stick Up Cam, taking the price down to £99 from £129. And finally, there’s £40 off theStick Up Cam Elite, which means it’s now on sale for £139, down from £179.

You can get most of the samedeals from Amazon, although its price for the solar isn’t as good.John Lewisis also matching the discounts on the battery and plug-in.
