Samsung Bespoke French Door fridge: price, features, release

Samsung is extending its Bespoke fridge freezer range with the launch of the French Door Refrigerator.

In the UK, Samsung’s Bespoke fridge freezer range has so far been limited to three options: a fridge-freezer, a one-door fridge and a one-door freezer. We’vereviewed the one-door fridge, if you’d like to find out more about what it’s like to use.

You can see and buy all of these applianceson the Samsung UK site.

But the next Bespoke fridge to reach the UK will be the Bespoke French Door.

When is the Bespoke French Door Refrigerator’s release date?

The US launch of the Bespoke French Door Refrigeratorwas announced in Januaryand it’s now available tobuy from Samsung in the US.

As yet, we don’t know when it will launch in the UK, although we expect to see it in 2022, and very likely in the first half of the year.

How much will the Bespoke French Door Refrigerator cost?

Samsung’s offering will be country-dependent. In the US, there are several different models of the fridge, with different price points, depending on size and features.

The French Door fridge is available in the US in three-door and four-door models, both with and without a Family Hub.

Both the three and four-door models start from from $3,599, but you can potentially get one for less if you opt for one of the custom panel ready fridgesfrom the Samsung website– although opting for pre-selected colours doesn’t feel particularly bespoke.

In the UK, there will be a single model: the RF8000. Samsung has not yet confirmed its UK price.

What are the Bespoke French Door Refrigerator’s features?

These fridges are available in a wider range of colours in the US, with four steel options, six glossy glass options and one matt glass option available.

In terms of additional features, US buyers will also be able to choose from a Beverage Center, Auto-refill Water Pitcher or Family Hub.

The Family Hub is, of course, the smart interface that allows you to plan your shopping, share and send notes and photos, view your fridge contents, mirror TV and stream content, play music and connect to other smart devices in your home.

We don’t know when the Smart Hub will be available in a Bespoke appliance outside of the US. In the UK, only the RF8000 has been announced.

The RF8000 is a four-door model and its features include a Flex Zone drawer, which can be converted from a fridge to a freezer and back, depending on what you want to store at the time.

There’s also a Beverage Centre – a water dispenser that’s accessed from inside the fridge, so it doesn’t affect its exterior view.

Initially, it’ll be available in one colour: Bespoke Colour Metal Navy. Again, the single colour option doesn’t feel particularly bespoke to us. But we hope that Samsung will announce more customisation options in the near future.
