Samsung reportedly pulls software update for the S20 Ultra
Samsung has reportedly pulled the latest software update for its flagship Galaxy S20 Ultra in some regions because of bugs.Sammobilesaid that the latest firmware (software version G988xXXU1ATCT) for the S20 Ultra has been taken off Samsung’s servers while the company investigates.
It means that in some countries this update will no longer show up in the software update menu.
We were actually able to download this specific patch on our S20 Ultra, and it promised improvements to the camera quality. This update follows the initial ones the company had to send out to fix an urgent autofocus issue on the Ultra following negative reviews.
We didn’t experience any ofthe issues reported in recent S20 updates like green tintingat certain screen brightness settings and slower wired charging.
It caps a bumpy release for Samsung’s high-end S20 Ultra. It’sa huge phone that’s unwieldy and expensiveenough for us to not recommend overthe regular S20and theS20 Plus.
