Sony hints the WH-1000XM4 headphones will drop on 6 August

Sony has published a teaser to its Twitter feed that strongly hints its anticipated WH-1000XM4 over-ear headphones will launch on 6 August.

The WH-1000XM3s managed to get a rarefive-star ratingfrom us, improving over the XM2s in many ways.

We’ve been eagerly awaiting the XM4s, which arerumouredto add more features like allowing for simultaneous connections to several devices. This is something other headphones manage, and it’s one of the main downsides of the XM3s despite their incredible sound and noise cancellation.

In the video teaser, Sony uses the hashtag #ListenWithSony, leading us to believe the event will be audio related.

We reported a leak back in May that said multiple device support was coming to the next-gen headphones, along with audio improvements and location-aware settings. Hopefully, Sony can bring a bit of audio joy as many of us continue to work from home. And if you’re in the market for a new set of amazing headphones, it might well be these ones.
