Spotify offering free Google Nest Mini to Premium subscribers
This latest offer from Spotify grants new and existing Premium subscribers a free Google Nest Mini, to bring voice-activated music playback into the home.
Spotify has a history of offering up Google Home/Nest Mini speakers to various subsets of its subscriber base for free and this latest offer is no different.
Update: Spotify has ended the offer due to the high demand, but Amazon has kicked off its own version that includes theEcho Dot 3 for 99p for Music Unlimited members on Prime.
Perhaps the best part is that it’s open to “all eligiblenew and existingSpotify Premium individual, Family, Duo and Student master account holders in the UK,” meaning whether you’ve been paying for Spotify for years or you were considering pulling the trigger on Premium for the first time, this a great reason to make the most of the service, right now.
Those who’ve previously reaped the benefits of such offers from Spotify will appreciate the convenience of kicking their favourite artist’s best hits off with a simple voice command and thanks to Google’s efforts, things should sound that much sweeter this time around.

The second-generationGoogle Home Miniarrived as part of the company’s October 2019 rebrand, under the nameGoogle Nest Mini. Along with a new moniker, the smallest entry in Google’s refreshed smart speaker lineup boasts superior audio chops compared to the first-generation Mini, primarily thanks to twice the bass response this time around.
If you’re not aware, Spotify’s Premium music service costs £9.99 a month for an individual, £12.99 a month for two users on its Duo plan (provided they’re living under one roof), £14.99 a month for the Family plan (which covers up to six users, living under one roof) and £4.99 for the student plan (provided the user is enrolled at an eligible university).
