The HP EliteBook G7 is a laptop well-adapted to the current situation

The coronavirus pandemic is forcing many people to change their relationship with technology, but it looks like HP has been one step ahead of the game.

Part of its wide-ranging Spring 2020 portfolio, the Elitebook G7 has a number of key adaptations that make it well-suited for many working from home.

Chief among these is a new 720p wide-angle camera, complete with 88 degree field of view. Combined with advanced AI-based noise reduction and multi-array microphones, this should ensure video calls are of the highest quality.

Battery life has also seen a significant boost, with HP now touting at least 23 hours from a single charge.

The full Elitebook G7 also range comes with both Wi-Fi and LTE, headlined by 5G on the 1000 Series. That model also has an incredible 1000 nits of brightness for excellent outdoor visibility, although the 805 and 800 Series aren’t far behind.

With a stereo speaker system tuned by Bang & Olufsen and fingerprint sensor across all models, the Elitebook G7 looks like an excellent laptop on paper.

In total, there are an incredible nine models to choose from in the G7 series. With all devices supporting touch and pen input, x360 indicates devices that are also convertible.

With plenty of RAM and storage options for each model listed above, it’s perhaps understandable that prices range hugely. The 800 series starts at US$1399, while you’ll have to pay at least US$1419 for the x360 version. Pricing for the 805 series is yet to be confirmed.

All models of the Elitebook G7 are available this summer, with the 800 and 1000 series in June and 805 series in August.
