The OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro added to Google Stadia compatible phone list

The new OnePlus 8 andOnePlus 8 Progo on sale today and they will become the two newest phones to support Google Stadia gameplay. OnePlus announced the support in aforum post(viaTechRadar).

Stadia is Google’s game streaming service where you sign up to a monthly payment plan and can play an unlimited number of games. The downsides to Stadia, as highlighted inour review, are not limited to the fact there are several performance issues.

There simply aren’t that many devices that you can get Stadia on, and fewer countries than that where you can actually access the service. OnePlus adding itsnew phonesto the mix is good news, but means Stadia is still lagging behind something like Apple Arcade in our eyes – an Apple exclusive perhaps, but every modern Apple device can run it.

On the bright side, we reviewed theOnePlus 8andOnePlus 8 Proand found them to be absolutely excellent devices. If you pick one up and you live in a supported country, at least you’ll be able to wile away some quarantine time with Stadia.
