The Simpsons’ Lee Carvallo’s Putting Challenge is now a playable game
In abeloved season seven episodeof the Simpsons, Bart gets in hot water for stealingBonestorm, the video game of the moment. At the end of the episode, Marge mistakenly buys BartLee Carvallo’s Putting Challenge, a much less bloody golf simulator game.
In the end credits, Bart plays the mundane game that has since spawned T-shirts, toys and fan references but now it’s an actually playable game thanks to the loving work of Aaron Demeter. You canplay the game here.
You line up to play a putt and can select what type of swing to make, with audio and visuals straight out of the Simpsons. The joke is, basically, yes this game sucks. Some of you reading this might wonder what the hell we’re on about but if you know, you know.
The sim is probably more than slightly infringing copyright but asThe Vergepointed out, former Simpsons executive producer and show runner Bill Oakley doesn’t care after tweeting his approval for the game.
