TicPods 2 Pro+ arrive with Single Pairing and Quick Commands 2.0
As if there weren’t enough pairs of wireless earbuds on the market already, Mobvoi has updated itsTicPods 2 Prowith some new features, while avoiding a higher price.
Making for something of a tongue twister, the TicPods 2 Pro+ improve on the firm’s existing wireless earbuds that arrived back in January at CES.
This ‘plus’ model now features a Single Pairing so you can hear your music in just one of the buds. This independent connection is made possible by Qualcomm ADK technology handles all kinds of things such as synchronisation, selective data relay and enhanced robustness.
When using both earbuds Smart Role-swap aims to balance the battery of two earbuds, to extend battery life.
Quick Command 2.0 takes the voice command feature of the previous-gen and adds new options. Still without using a wake-up word, you can say “volume up” and “volume down” to, well, adjust the volume if you can’t be bothered to use the touch-sensitive control panel.
As well as the above, Mobvoi has updated the design to give a more premium feeling. This comes in the form of a metal component to “elegantly display the product’s name on the top of the lid of the charging case”.
The TicPods 2 Pro+ are available starting today priced at£119,US$139and€139in either Navy or Ice colours.
