Xbox Series X to launch in November but Halo Infinite delayed to 2021

Microsoft has edged closer to a release date for theXbox Series X,saying it will drop in November where it had previously said ‘holiday 2020’.

But it also confirmed, with developer 343 Industries, that it is postponing the release ofHalo Infinite, the game that was meant to be the main launch title for the Series X.

It’s a bittersweet combination of news for Xbox fans who are now two months away from a next generation console with no big launch title. Instead, Microsoft is drumming up marketing around its existing Xbox Game Pass to entice people to upgrade their consoles.

Reportedly over 40 existing games with play in optimised form on the Series X with features like 120fps frame rates, quicker loading and better resume support.

But whichever way you look at it, none of that is anywhere near as good as having a new Halo game ready to drop in November. We await the exact November date and the pre-order price for the Xbox Series X.
